Freshman Football Beats Dekalb, 24-8

The Freshman Football team has defeated Dekalb in Thursday night play 24-8.  This brings the Freshman team’s record to 2-0. Next Thursday, they will take on the Carroll Chargers at home while looking to extend their streak to 3-0.

In Friday night/Saturday morning action, the New Haven Bulldogs extended their winning streak to 3-0, eeking out a 20-13 win over Dekalb deep in Baron territory. NHXC Runs Away With 1st & 2nd Place at Spencerville Invitational

The boys cross country team finished 2nd out of 16 schools at the Spencerville Invitational.  Deric Laurent was the individual champion in a time of 16:17.   Earning medals were Josh Hiatt (6th) and Brayan Pizano (9th).  Also placing for the varsity team were Michael Meyer (23rd), Grant Atkinson (26th), Kylce Charles (39th), and Caleb Felger

Results of 9/2/14 Cross Country Meet

Hayley Newman placed first in 21:26 to lead the girls team to a victory over Blackhawk Christian and Heritage. The girls swept the top 6 spots with Paige Boatright, Kayle Covella, Brooke Feipel, Ally Holcomb, and Ariel Stier  taking 2nd thru 6th.   Bridgette Yoder won the JV race.   Girls Score:  New Haven 15

Bulldogs Sink Lakers 48-8

Two weeks ago, the Bulldogs pulled out an ugly win at Heritage, topping the Patriots 31-21. Following the game, Coach Jim Rowland told the team that a strong indicator of the team’s potential for success throughout the duration of the season would depend on how much they improve between Week 1 and Week 2.
