COVID Operating Procedures

General Procedures

  • Masks must be worn by all spectators in attendance.
  • Masks must be worn by all coaches while coaching.
  • Masks must be worn by participants not currently competing.
  • Social distancing is required.
    • Bleachers are marked every other row to ensure safe social distancing.

Basketball

  • Each rostered player is allowed 1 parent/guardian in attendance.
    • Fans in the Stands Plan: https://newhavenathletics.com/fans-plan/
    • A sign-in sheet will be used for our events. Once two spectators have been reached for that athlete they will not be permitted anymore spectators.
    • Ticket taker will verify the name on the roster, and collect admission fee.
  • Varsity cheerleaders may attend.
  • Rosters must be limited to 12/level. Managers do not count as part of the 12.
  • All coaches must be listed on the roster if they drive separate from the team bus.
  • New Haven will supply basketballs for warmups. Teams will keep until end of the game.
  • All spectators will be required to exit the facility immediately following the final game of the night. Players/participants will meet families in the parking lot at their car.
  • Following high school contests, 20 minutes will be placed on the game clock. Coaches will have this time to conduct end of the game meetings, clean up/change, and exit the facility.
  • NFHS guidelines will be followed.

Wrestling

  • All coaches must be listed on the roster if they drive separate from the team bus.
  • All spectators will be required to exit the facility immediately following the wrestling match. Participants will meet families in the parking lot at their car.
  • Following high school contests, 20 minutes will be placed on the game clock to: tear down MATS, shower, and exit the facility.
  • NFHS guidelines will be followed.
